| BTLA, is a 70kD type I membrane glycoprotein that belongs to the CD28 family of receptors. CD28 receptors are Ig superfamily proteins, with an extracellular IgV-like domain, that function as co-stimulatory or co-inhibitory T cell signaling molecules. BTLA is expressed on B cells, T cells, and dendritic cells. Binding of BTLA to its ligand, herpesvirus entry mediator (HVEM, TNFRSF14) triggers a potent inhibitory signal that blocks T cell activation. The aa sequence of the extracellular domain of BTLA shares only 34% identity with that of mouse BTLA. A human BTLA variant lacking the transmembrane domain has been reported. | | | Catalog # | B5001-61C | | Applications | Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry. Other applications not tested. | | Recommended Dilution | Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. | | Absorption | 488nm | | Emission | 565-605nm | | Storage and Stability | May be stored at 4°C before opening. DO NOT FREEZE! Stable at 4°C as an undiluted liquid. Dilute only prior to immediate use. Stable for at least 12 months at 4°C. Freezing R-Phycoerythrin (PE) conjugates will result in a substantial loss of activity. PE conjugates are sensitive to light. | | CAS Number | n/a | | Clone Type | Polyclonal | | Isotype | IgG | | Host | Goat | | Source | Mouse | | Concentration | As reported | | Form | Supplied as a liquid in 1ml saline, 0.5% BSA, 0.1% sodium azide.
