Applications
Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot and Immunoprecipitation. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution
ELISA: 0.1-1.0ug/ml Western Blot after IP: 1-2ug/ml. Crossreactivity with a ~100kD protein of unknown identity is sometimes observed. Immunoprecipitation: 5-10ug. Specifically immunoprecipitate the ~ 92kD b-Catenin protein from native cell lysates. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Positive Controls
HeLa and A431 lysates.
Storage and Stability
May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Immunogen
A 15 amino acid synthetic peptide derived from the C-terminus of the human and mouse b-catenin protein.
Form
Supplied as a liquid in PBS, pH 7.4, 0.09% sodium azide.
Purity
Purified by immunoaffinity chromatography.
Specificity
Recognizes human b-catenin. Species Crossreactivity: chicken, mouse, rat and Xenopus.
