Beta-Catenin is a multifunctional protein known to be part of the Wnt pathway, playing essential roles in development and carcinogenesis. Beta-Catenin can act as a regulator of the cell cycle and apoptosis in a variety of different cell systems.

Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry and Western Blot. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilutions
Immunohistochemistry (formalin-fixed paraffin sections): 1-2ug/ml Western Blot: 4ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by researcher.
Storage and Stability
May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage, aliquot and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.

Synthetic peptide corresponding to aa43-62, APSLSGKGNPEEEDVDTSQV, of human beta-catenin.

Supplied as a liquid in TBS, pH 7.4, 0.5mg/ml BSA, 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol.

Purified by immunoaffinity chromatography.
Specificity
Recognizes human beta-catenin. Species Crossreactivity: mouse, rat, porcine and bovine.
