VLA-4 integrin heterodimer (Mr150kD) is expressed by Whitlock-White cultures of lymphoid cells and Dexter cultures of mouse myeloid cells. The antigen is absent from or expressed at a very low level on stromal cells.

Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and StabilityMay be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage, aliquot and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 6 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. FITC conjugates are sensitive to light.
Note Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.

SpecificityRecognizes the murine alpha 4 chain of the VLA-4 integrin heterodimer (MW: 150kD). Virtually all lymphoid and myeloid cells in bone marrow are reactive with this antibody. VLA-4 is absent or minimally detectable on stromal cells.
