Cytokeratin 14 is a type I intermediate filament. It is one of the two cytokeratins that distinguish stratifying epithelial cells types from simple epithelial cell types. Cytokeratin 14 is expressed by stratifying/keratinocyte cell types, but not by simple epithelial cells.

Recommended DilutionsWestern Blot: 1:5000-1:10,000
Immunohistochemistry (Frozen): 1:100-1:200; Incubation Time: 1 hr at RT.
Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin-embedded tissue): 1:50; Incubation Time: >1 hr at RT
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and StabilityMay be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
