| GBX2 (gastrulation brain homeobox) is a member of the homeobox family, which shares a 180 bp DNA sequence that encodes the DNA binding homeodomain. GBX2, along with OTX2 and FGF8 establish midbrain-hindbrain boundries in the developing brain.
