Applications
Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution
ELISA: 1:10,000-1:50,000 Western Blot: 1:10,000-1:50,000 Immunohistochemistry: 1:500-1:5000 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability
Lyophilized powder is stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O prior to use. To avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot reconstituted stock solution and store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Note: Sodium azide is a potent inhibitor of peroxidase and should not be added to HRP conjugates. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Immunogen
Purified Sheep IgG, whole molecule
Form
Supplied as a lyophilized powder in 10mM sodium phosphate, 0.15M sodium chloride, pH 7.2, 1% BSA (Protease/IgG free), 0.1% Kathon CG. Labeled with horseradish peroxidase (HRP). Reconstitute with 1.1ml of deionized water and let stand 30 minutes at room temperature to dissolve.
Purity
Purified by immunoaffinity chromatography.
Specificity
Recognizes heavy chains on sheep IgG and with the light chains on all sheep immunoglobulins based on IEP. No reactivity is observed with non-immunoglobulin sheep serum proteins, IgG from human or rabbit, or serum proteins from human or rabbit
