Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunocytochemistry. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution
Western Blot: 0.5-2ug/ml detected Lamin A/C in 20ug of RIPA lysates from A431 cells. Immunocytochemistry: reported by an independent laboratory to detect Lamin A/C in human endothelial cells. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Included Positive Antigen Control
Non-stimulated A431 lysate. Add 2.5ul of 2-mercaptoethanol/100ul of lysate and boil for 5 minutes to reduce the preparation. Load 20ug of reduced lysate/lane for minigels.
Storage and Stability
May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Immunogen
Peptide from human lamin A/C corresponding to aa398-490.
Form
Supplied as a liquid in 50% storage buffer (20mM sodium phosphate, pH 7.5, 0.15M sodium chloride, 1mg/ml BSA, 0.09% sodium azide) and 50% glycerol.
Purity
Purified by Protein G affinity chromatography.
Specificity
Recognizes human Lamin A, Mr 74kD and Lamin C, Mr 65kD. Species Crossreactivity: mouse, rat, chicken and canine.
