The lymphocyte Peyer’s patch adhesion molecule (LPAM-1), also known as integrin alpha4beta7, is a member of the integrin family of cell surface receptors. It is expressed primarily on mucosal lymphocytes, but is also present on NK cells and eosinophils. The a4b7 heterodimer mediates the binding of lymphocytes to its ligand, mucosal vascular addressin (MAdCAM-1) on the high endothelial venules, thereby directing the homing of lymphocytes into Peyer’s patches and intestinal lamina propriaThis antibody recognizes a conformational epitope on the heterodimer.

Applications
Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry, Immunohistochemistry, Blockade of binding to cell adhesion molecules and Induction of homotypic cellular aggregation. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution
Flow Cytometry: ≤1ug/10e6 cells Immunohistochemistry: Frozen sections Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability
May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, add sterile 40-50% glycerol, aliquot and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
Immunogen
AKR/Cum mouse spontaneous T lymphoma cell line TK1
Form
Supplied as a liquid in 100mM borate buffered saline, pH 8.0. No preservatives or amine-containing buffer salts added.
Purity
Purified
Specificity
Recognizes mouse LPAM-1 (Integrin a4b7).
