| MOBP may play a role in compacting or stabilising the myelin sheath, possibly by binding the negatively charged acidid phospholipids of the cytoplasmic membrane. It is present in the major dense line of CNS myelin. There are 3 named isoforms produced by alternative splicing. MBP is abundantly expressed specifically in oligodendrocytes at the mRNA level. It is expressed exclusively in the CNS myelin. | | | Catalog # | M9758-15C | | Applications | Suitable for use in Western Blot and ELISA.
