| SM-MHC is a cytoplasmic structural protein, which is a major component of the contractile apparatus in smooth muscle cells. Expression of smooth muscle myosin is developmently regulated, appearing early in smooth muscle development, and is specific for smooth muscle development. Two isoforms of smooth muscle myosin heavy chain have been identified, designated MHC-1 and MHC-2. | | | Catalog # | M9850-14 | | Applications | Suitable for use in Immunofluorescence and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. | | Recommended Dilution | Immunohistochemistry | | (formalin/paraffin): 2-4ug/ml. Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires digesting sections with trypsin at 1mg/ml PBS, 10 min at 37°C, followed by boiling tissue sections in 10mM citrate buffer, pH 6.0 for 10-20 min followed by cooling at RT for 20 min. | | Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. | | Positive Control | Uterus | | Cellular Localization | Cytoplasmic | | Storage and Stability | May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage, store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. | | CAS Number | n/a | | Clone Type | Monoclonal | | Isotype | IgG1,k | | Clone No | 0.N.558B | | Host | Mouse | | Source | Human | | Concentration | ~0.1mg/ml | | Form | Supplied as a liquid in PBS, pH 7.4, 0.2% BSA and 0.09% sodium azide before the addition of glycerol to 40%. | | Also available without BSA and azide.
