| SM-MHC is a cytoplasmic structural protein, which is a major component of the contractile apparatus in smooth muscle cells. Expression of smooth muscle myosin is developmently regulated, appearing early in smooth muscle development, and is specific for smooth muscle development. Two isoforms of smooth muscle myosin heavy chain have been identified, designated MHC-1 and MHC-2. | | | Catalog # | M9850-16 | | Applications | Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. | | Recommended Dilution | Immunohistochemistry (Formalin/paraffin): 1:50 for 20 min at RT. Staining of formalin-fixed tissues, requires boiling tissue tsections in 10mM citrate buffer, pH 6.0, for 10-20 minutes followed by cooling at RT for 20 minutes. | | Optimal dilution determined by the researcher. | | Positive Control | Uterus | | Storage and Stability | May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, add sterile glycerol (40-50%), aliquot and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. | | | | CAS Number | n/a | | Clone Type | Monoclonal | | Isotype | IgG1,k | | Clone No | 3F284 | | Host | Mouse | | Source | Human | | Concentration | ~0.2mg/ml | | Form | Supplied as a liquid in 10mM PBS, pH 7.4, 0.2% BSA, 0.09% sodium azide. Also available without BSA and azide. See M9850-16X | | Purity | Purified by Protein G affinity chromatography. | | Immunogen | Crude human uterus extract. MW of Antigen | | Specificity | Recognizes human MHC-1 (205kD) and MHC-2 (200kD) isoform and it stains the intact myoepithelial cell layers present in benign and in situ malignant breast lesions. | | | Important Note | This product as supplied is intended for research use only, not for use in human, therapeutic or diagnostic applications without the expressed written authorization of United States Biological. |
