Ribosomal protein-large subunit 17 is a 132aa, 23kD component of the ribosomal large subunit, and is the mammalian ortholog of the bacterial protein, L22. It is located at the ribosomal surface near the exit tunnel. Its position shifts upon translation of a transmembrane sequence, presumably aiding folding. The portion of human Ribosomal Protein L17 expressed as an immunogen shares >99% aa sequence identity with mouse and rat Ribosomal Protein L17.
Applications
Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution
Western Blot: 1ug/ml Immunohistochemistry: 8-25ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
