SRCRB4D (Scavenger receptor cysteine-rich domain group B four B-type domain containing) is a 56kD (predicted), secreted member of the SRCR superfamily. It is widely expressed and likely plays some role in innate immunity. Mature human SRCRB4D is 528aa in length. It contains four SRCR domains (aa58-573), each of which possesses three intradomain disulfide bonds. Although it contains no potential N-linked glycosylation sites, other types of posttranslational modification cannot be ruled out. There are three potential isoform variants. One shows a three aa substitution for aa 271-575, a second shows an 11aa substitution for aa 1-24, and a third shows a 25aa substitution for aa1-416, accompanied by a six aa insertion after Gly445. Over aa 45-575, human and mouse SRCRB4D share 90% aa identity.

Applications
Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blotting, Immunohistochemistry, Immunoprecipitation. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution
Western Blotting: 1:1000-1:2000. Western blot with mAb-rSCRC recognized polypeptides 220, 117, 36 and 32kD. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability
Lyophilized powder may be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Reconstitute to nominal volume by adding sterile 40-50% glycerol and store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
Immunogen
Recombinant SRCR (scavenger receptor cystein rich-domain) from Geodia cydonium
Form
Supplied as a lyophilized powder in PBS, pH 7.2. Reconstitute in ddH2O.
Purity
Purified by Protein G affinity chromatography.
Specificity
Recognizes SRCR (Geodia cydonium)
