Toll-like receptor 2 (TLR2) is expressed on smooth muscle, lung, spleen, thymus, brain and adipose tissue and plays a role in pathogen recognition and activation of the innate immune response to pathogens. Specifically it interacts with LY96 to mediate the immune response to bacterial lipoproteins and other microbial cell wall components. It activates NF-kappa-B, via MyD88 and TRAF6, leading to cytokine secretion and the inflammatory response. It may also promote apoptosis in response to lipoproteins. T8050-15F has been reported to inhibit CD282-dependent cell activation in vitro and in vivo.

ApplicationsSuitable for use in Flow Cytometry, Immunohistochemistry (frozen), and Immunoprecipitation. Other applications not tested.
Recommended DilutionFlow Cytometry: 1:5-1:10; 10ul labels 10e6 cells in 100ul.
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and StabilityMay be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
