| TNF-RII is present on most cell types and is considered to be an important co-stimulator together with TNF-RI in cellular responses to TNF-alpha, in particular the transmembrane form of TNF-alpha. A dominant role of TNF-RII has been shown in thymocyte activation by TNF-alpha. The antibody is a non-agonistic receptor modulating antibody. It enhances in vitro TNF responses by increasing the affinity of the soluble form to TNF-alpha to TNF-RII. | | | Catalog # | T9161-26E | | Applications | Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry, Immunohistochemistry, Immunoprecipitation, Western Blot and ELISA. | | Other applications not tested. | | Recommended Dilution | Immunohistochemistry (frozen): 1:10 | | Flow Cytometry: 1:10 | | Western Blot: 1:10 | | Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. | | Recommended Positive Control | Immunohistochemistry: human lymphnodes | | Flow Cytometry: PHA activated T cells. | | Storage and Stability | May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. | | CAS Number | n/a | | Clone Type | Monoclonal | | Isotype | IgG1 | | Clone No | 6A665 | | Host | Mouse | | Source | Human | | Concentration | ~0.1mg/ml | | Form | Supplied as a liquid in PBS, 0.02% sodium azide, 0.1% BSA. Labeled with Biotin. | | Purity | Purified IgG | | Immunogen | Human CD120b. | | Specificity | Reacts with the extracellular part of the TNF-RII. It also reacts with the soluble receptor. Reactivity with cellbound TNF-Receptor is minimally inhibited by high concentrations of TNF-alpha. | | | Important Note | This product as supplied is intended for research use only, not for use in human, therapeutic or diagnostic applications without the expressed written authorization of United States Biological. |
