Technical Data
Aggrecan, NT (Proteoglycan, PG, AGC 1, Aggrecan 1, Antigen Identified by Monoclonal A0122, Cartilage Specific Proteoglycan Core Protein, Chondroitin Sulfate Proteoglycan Core Protein 1, CSPCP, CSPG1, CSPGCP, Large Aggregating Proteoglycan, MSK16, SEDK)
Aggrecan, together with type II collagen, makes up to 90% of the dry weight of healthy cartilage. It hydrates the collagen network and thus provides cartilage with its properties of compressibility and elasticity. The N-terminal region of human Aggrecan (residues 20-675) consists of two globular domains (G1 and G2), flanking an interglobular domain (IGD). The IGD contains the cleavage sites for matrix metalloproteinases and aggrecanases.

Suitable for use in Immunoprecipitation. Other applications not tested.

Recommended Dilution:
Immunoprecipitation: 25ug/ml
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.

Storage and Stability:
Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20C. Stable for 12 months at -20C. Reconstitute with PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
