Description: Aggrecan, together with type II collagen, makes up to 90% of the dry weight of healthy cartilage. It hydrates the collagen network and thus provides cartilage with its properties of compressibility and elasticity. The N-terminal region of human Aggrecan (residues 20-675) consists of two globular domains (G1 and G2), flanking an interglobular domain (IGD). The IGD contains the cleavage sites for matrix metalloproteinases and aggrecanases. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunoprecipitation. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Immunoprecipitation: 25ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months at -20°C. Reconstitute with PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. |
