Technical Data
A2298-13H
Antiplasmin, alpha2
Description:
Applications:
Suitable for use in the detection of uncleaved a-2-antiplasmin and separation of the plasminogen binding form of a-2-antiplasmin from the non-plasminogen binding form.

Recommended Dilution:
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.

Storage and Stability:
Lyophilized powder may be stored at 4C for short-term only. Reconstitute to nominal volume by adding sterile 40-50% glycerol and store at -20C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.

Immunogen:
Purified human alpha-2-antiplasmin.
Purity:
Purified from murine ascites by affinity chromatography on immobilized recombinant Protein A. The purity of the product was tested by Laemmli SDS-PAGE.
Form
Supplied as a lyophilized powder in PBS, pH 7.4, 20mg/ml mannitol, 0.02% sodium azide. Reconstitute to a final volume of 0.5ml.
Specificity:
Binds to native a-2-antiplasmin and the Mr 8,000 peptide obtained by SDS-gel-electrophoresis of plasmin-a-2-antiplasmin complex. Half maximal binding to coated a-2-antiplasmin at ~8ng/ml.
Intended for research use only. Not for use in human, therapeutic, or diagnostic applications.
