Description: Adaptins are important components of clathrin-coated vesicles transporting ligand-receptor complexes from the plasma membrane or from the trans Golgi network to lysosomes. Together with medium and small subunits, adaptins form a heterotetrameric complex called an adaptor whose role is to promote the formation of clathrin-coated pits and vesicles and to recognise sorting signals within the cytosolic tails of transmembrane cargo molecules. Gamma-adaptin protein belongs to the adaptor protein complex 1 that plays a role in protein sorting in the late-Golgi/trans-Golgi network and/or endosomes. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunofluorescence, ELISA, Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: ELISA: 1:2000-1:8000 Western Blot: 1:500-1:2000 Immunohistochemistry (Formalin fixed paraffin embedded): 2.5ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. |
