Description:
This antibody will be of use in chromatin and transcription factor research to monitor methylation status

Applications:
Suitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested.

Recommended Dilution:
Western Blot: 1:500-1:1000 detects p110, p75, and Sam68 in RIPA lysates from Jukat cells.
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.

Included Positive Antigen Control:
J9000: Jurkat lysate. Add 2.5ul of 2-mercaptoethanol/100ul of lysate and boil for 5 minutes to reduce the preparation. Load 20ug of reduced lysate per lane for minigels.

Storage and Stability:
May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.

Specificity:
Recognizes proteins that contain arginines that are asymmetrically dimethylated including p300, p110, p75 and Sam68. Specificity for asymmetrically dimethylated arginine was determined by ELISA with an unmethylated ‘backbone’ peptide or an identical peptide containing symmetrically dimethylated arginines.
