ARHGAP20 (Rho GTPase-activating Protein 20, Rho-type GTPase-activating Protein 20, KIAA1391) |
|
|
Description: RhoGap20 encodes a potent Rho GTPase-activating protein, which is a direct downstream target of Rap1 in the neurite outgrowth. Overexpression of the protein induced inactivation of Rho for promoting the neurite outgrowth in a Rap1-dependent manner. It is also involved in rearrangements of the cytoskeleton and cell signaling events that occur during spermatogenesis. RhoGap20 gene is predicted to be a tumor suppressor, inactivated by deletion in breast cancer and also by chromosomal translocation in B-cell chronic lymphocytic leukemia. The protein is expressed in human brain, liver, ovary and spinal cord. The gene encoding for rat RhoGap20 is localized on chromosome 8q24. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: ELISA: 1:100-1:1000 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. |
