ARHGAP20 (Rho GTPase-activating Protein 20, Rho-type GTPase-activating Protein 20, KIAA1391)
RhoGap20 encodes a potent Rho GTPase-activating protein, which is a direct downstream target of Rap1 in the neurite outgrowth. Overexpression of the protein induced inactivation of Rho for promoting the neurite outgrowth in a Rap1-dependent manner. It is also involved in rearrangements of the cytoskeleton and cell signaling events that occur during spermatogenesis. RhoGap20 gene is predicted to be a tumor suppressor, inactivated by deletion in breast cancer and also by chromosomal translocation in B-cell chronic lymphocytic leukemia. The protein is expressed in human brain, liver, ovary and spinal cord. The gene encoding for rat RhoGap20 is localized on chromosome 8q24.

Suitable for use in ELISA. Other applications not tested.

Storage and Stability:
May be stored at 4C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
