Artemin Human Recombinant produced in E. coli is a disulfide-linked homodimer, non-glycosylated, polypeptide chain containing 2 x 113 amino acids and having a total molecular mass of 2.42kD. Artemin is purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques. Source: Stem cell factor Artemin Human Recombinant expressed in E. coli. Amino Acid Sequence of the first five N-terminal amino acids was determined and was found to be Ala-Gly-Gly-Pro-Gly. Biological Activity: The Biological activity is calculated by it's ability to promote survival and neurite outgrowth and dorsal root ganglion neurons. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized Artemin although stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, should be stored desiccated below -18°C. Upon reconstitution should be stored at 4°C between 2-7 days and for future use below -18°C. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA). Please prevent freeze-thaw cycles. Molecular Weight: 2.42kD |
Source: E. coli Purity: 98.0% as determined by RP-HPLC or SDS-PAGE. Concentration: As reported Form: Supplied as lyophilized powder after extensive dialysis against 10mM sodium citrate pH-4.5 and 150mM sodium chloride. Reconstitute with sterile dH2O to 100ug/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions. Important Note: This product as supplied is intended for research use only, not for use in human, therapeutic or diagnostic applications without the expressed written authorization of United States Biological. |
