Description: Basonuclin 2 is a probable transcription factor specific for skin keratinocytes. It may play a role in the differentiation of spermatozoa and oocytes. Basonuclin 2 is highly expressed in testis, uterus and small intestine, and weakly expressed in colon and prostate. It is also expressed in skin, primary keratinocytes, immortalized keratinocytes, and HeLa and HEK293 cells. It is not detected in blood, thymus, spleen or HepG2 cells. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunocytochemistry, Western Blot and Dot Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Immunocytochemistry: 2-100ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. |
