Description: Apoptosis regulator Bcl-2 is an integral outer mitochondrial membrane protein that blocks the apoptotic death of some cells such as lymphocytes. At least 2 isoforms (alpha and beta) are produced by alternate splicing with different C-terminal ends. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry and Western Blot . Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 1-2ug/ml Immunohistochemistry (formalin, paraffin, and frozen): 0.4-1.0ug/ml Antigen retrieval may improve the staining. Optimal dilution determined by the researcher. Positive control: Follicular and diffuse large B cell lymphoma tumors Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Reconstitute to nominal volume by adding sterile 40-50% glycerol and store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. |
