Technical Data
BIG1/ARFGEF1 ARFGEP1, BIG1, Brefeldin A-inhibited GEP 1, Brefeldin A-inhibited guanine nucleotide-exchange protein 1, D730028O18Rik, DKFZP434L057, p200, P200, p200 ARF-GEP1, p200 ARF guanine nucleotide exchange factor
ADP-ribosylation factors (ARFs) play an important role in intracellular vesicular trafficking. The protein encoded by this gene is involved in the activation of ARFs by accelerating replacement of bound GDP with GTP. It contains a Sec7 domain, which may be responsible for the guanine-nucleotide exchange activity and also the brefeldin A inhibition.

Suitable for use in Immunoprecipitation and Western Blot. Other applications have not been tested.

Recommended Dilution:
Immunoprecipitation: 2-5ug/mg
Western Blot: 1:1:000-1:10:000
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.

Storage and Stability:
May be stored at 4C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot and add glycerol (40-50%). Freeze at -20C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.

The epitope recognized by this antibody maps to a region between residue 1800 and the C-terminus (residue 1849) of human brefeldin A-inhibited guanine nucleotide-exchange protein 1 (ADP-ribosylation factor guanine nucleotide-exchange factor 1).
Purified by Immunoaffinity chromatography.
Supplied as a liquid in Tris-citrate-phosphate buffer, pH 7.5, 0.09% sodium azide.
Recognizes human BIG1/ARFGEF1 .
Intended for research use only. Not for use in human, therapeutic, or diagnostic applications.
