CAMK2A, ID (Calcium/Calmodulin-dependent Protein Kinase Type II Subunit alpha, CaM-kinase II Subunit alpha, CaM Kinase II Subunit alpha, CAMKA, KIAA0968) |
|
|
Description: CAMK2Alpha, together with the beta, delta, and gamma subunits, constititute the CAMK2 heteromultimeric holoenzyme serine/threonine kinase. CAMK2A has been implicated in learning, where it potentiates synaptic transmission by phosphorylating AMPA receptors. Variants are produced by alternative splicing. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: ELISA: 1:64,000 Western Blot: 0.1-0.3ug/ml Immunohistochemistry (Formalin fixed paraffin embedded): 3.75ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. |
