Description:
Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot, Immunoprecipitation and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution: ELISA: 1:2000-1:4000. 1ug of Collagen VI was used in a standard sandwich ELISA with Goat anti-Rabbit IgG [H&L] (HRP conjugated) and (ABTS (2,2'-azino-bis- [3-ethylbenthiazoline-6- sulfonic acid]) as a substrate for 30 minutes at room temperature. Western Blot: 1:250-1:2500 Immunoprecipitation: 1:50 Immunohistochemistry (Frozen tissue sections): 1:25-1:100 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage, store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. |

Form
Supplied as a liquid in 0.125M sodium borate, 0.075M sodium chloride, 0.005M EDTA, pH 8.0, 0.01% sodium azide, before the addition of glycerol to 40%. No stabilizing proteins added.
Specificity:
Reacts with most mammalian Type VI collagens and has negligible cross-reactivity with Type I, II, III, IV or V collagens. Non-specific cross-reaction of anti-collagen antibodies with other human serum proteins or non-collagen extracellular matrix proteins is negligible.
