Technical Data
Coronin 1A, CT (Coronin-like protein p57, Coronin-like protein A, Clipin-A, Tryptophan aspartate-containing coat protein, TACO, CORO1A, CORO1, Cor1a, p57, Coronin 1, Clapbp)
Coronin 1a belongs to the WD repeat coronin family and contains 5 WD repeats. It may be an essential component of the cytoskeleton of highly motile cells, with roles both in the invagination of large pieces of plasma membrane, as well as in forming protrusions of the plasma membrane involved in cell locomotion. In cell infected by mycobacteria, its retention on the phagosomal membrane prevents fusion between phagosomes and lysosomes. In the CNS, coronin 1A is expressed exclusively by microglial cells. Although its function is not entirely clear, it may act as a linkage protein between the actin cytoskeleton and the plasma membrane, and perhaps the extracellular matrix.

Suitable for use in Western Blot, ELISA and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested.

Recommended Dilution:
ELISA: 1:16,000
Western Blot: 1:16,000, 0.25-1ug/ml
Immunohistochemistry (Formalin fixed paraffin embedded): 3.75ug/ml
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.

Storage and Stability:
May be stored at 4C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
