DDX5 (Probable ATP-dependent RNA Helicase DDX5, DEAD Box Protein 5, RNA Helicase p68, HLR1, HELR, G17P1, DDX5) |
|
|
Description: DDX5, otherwise known as p68 RNA helicase, a nuclear protein and member of the DEAD box protein family which exhibit RNA-dependent ATPase activity, and play important roles in RNA metabolism/ function, including pre-mRNA splicing, RNA translation, RNA synthesis and the assembly of RNP complexes. DDX5 interacts with Smad3 and p53 to modulate transcription, and acts as a transcriptional coactivator for estrogen receptor alpha (ERalpha). Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 0.5-1ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Positive Control: Hela lysate Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. |
