DPPA2 (Developmental Pluripotency-associated Protein 2, Pluripotent Embryonic Stem Cell-related Gene 1 Protein, PESCRG1)
DPPA2 is a 38-39kD member of both the DPPA and cancer-testis family of proteins. It is found in pluripotent stem cells in a pattern that parallels that of Oct4, and likely contributes to formation of the ICM, plus the maintainence of cells in an undifferentiated state. DPPA2 is also found in spermatocytes and select tumor types. Human DPPA2 is 298aa in length. It contains one DNA-binding SAP domain that is involved in chromosomal organization aa92-126. One potential isoform variant has been reported that shows a deletion of aa61-71. Over aa2-174, human DPPA2 shares only 36% aa identity with mouse DPPA2.

Suitable for use in Immunocytochemistry. Other applications not tested.

Recommended Dilution:
Immunocytochemistry: 5-15ug/ml

Storage and Stability:
Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20C. Stable for 12 months at -20C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
