DDC (Aromatic-L-amino-acid Decarboxylase, AADC, DOPA Decarboxylase, AADC)
Description:
DOPA decarboxylase (aromatic L-amino acid decarboxylase AADC, DDC) catalyzes the second reaction in the biosynthesis of catecholamines and serotonin. It is also involved in the biosynthesis of trace amines.

Applications:
Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested.

Recommended Dilution:
ELISA: 1:8000
Western Blot: 0.03-0.1ug/ml, observed in human Kkdney lysates on ~50kD bands and 48kD on human brain lysates
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.

Storage and Stability:
May be stored at 4C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
