Source: Recombinant corresponding to 140aa from human Fibroblast Growth Factor expressed in E. coli. Molecular Weight: ~15.8kD Activity: ED50 <10 ng/ml ( > 1 x 105 units/mg). Biological activity is determined by measuring the FGF-a dose dependent stimulation of 3H-thymidine incorporation into BaF3 cell expressing FGF receptors. For most in vitro applications, a concentration range of 1.0-50 ng/ml is recommended. FGF-a is a heparin-binding protein which stimulates the proliferation of mesenchymal cells, neuroectodermal cells and endothelial cells. Endotoxin: 0.1ng/ug Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months at -20°C. Reconstitute with Tris, pH 7.4, BSA. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Molecular Weight: ~15.8kD |
Source: E. coli Purity: ~95% (SDS-PAGE, HPLC) Concentration: Not determined Form: Supplied as a lyophilized powder in PBS, pH 7.4. Reconstitute with 5mM Tris, pH 7.4, 0.1% BSA to 0.25-0.5 mg/ml. Important Note: This product as supplied is intended for research use only, not for use in human, therapeutic or diagnostic applications without the expressed written authorization of United States Biological. |
