Recombinant Human GCP-2 is an 8kD protein containing 73 amino acid residues. Neutrophil recruitment to inflammatory sites is mediated by two related receptors: CXCR1 and CXCR2. Both receptors share two ligands, interleukin-8 (CXCL8) and GCP2 (CXCL6). GCP2 belongs to the intercrine alpha (chemokine CxC) family. GCP-2 promotes neutrophil chemotaxis and degranulation. Source: E.coli Form: Sterile-filtered solution lyophilized without additives. Stability: The lyophilized protein is stable for a few weeks at room temperature, but best stored at -20°C. Reconstituted human GCP-2 should be stored in working aliquots at -20°C. Purity: 98% by SDS-PAGE and HPLC Endotoxin: 0.1ng/ug (1EU/ug). Reconstitution: Quick spin followed by reconstitution in water to a concentration of 0.1–1mg/ml. This solution can then be diluted into other aqueous buffers and stored at 4°C for 1 week or -20°C for future use. Biological Activity: Determined by its ability to chemoattract human neutrophils using a concentration range of 10-50ng/ml.
