Glutathione Peroxidase 6 (GPX6)
Human GPX6 is believed to be a member of the glutathione peroxidase family of proteins. These proteins play important roles in cellular defense mechanisms against oxidative damage. This is accomplished by catalyzing the reduction of hydroperoxides and hydrogen peroxide through the reducing substrate, glutathione.

Suitable for use in Western Blot and ELISA. Other applications not tested.

Recommended Dilution:
Western Blot: 1:1000 (ECL)
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.

Positive Control:
HeLa whole cell lysates

Storage and Stability:
May be stored at 4C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot and add glycerol (40-50%). Store at -20C or colder. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
