Green Fluorescent Protein (GFP) (FITC) |

Description: Anti-GFP assayed in a sandwich ELISA is well suited to titrate GFP in solution using either form of the antibody as the capture or detection antibodies. The detection antibody is typically conjugated to biotin and complexed with streptavidin-HRP. Fluorochrome conjugated G8965-12A was assayed by immunofluorescence microscopy on prokaryotic (E.coli) and eukaryotic (CHO cells) expression systems and was shown to detect GFP containing inserts. Significant amplification of signal was detected using fluorochrome conjugated G8965-12A relative to the fluorescence of GFP alone. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA and Immunofluorescence. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Immunofluorescence 1:500-1:2500 ELISA: Sandwich or capture Optimal dilution determined by the researcher. Absorption Wavelength: 495nm Emission Wavelength: 528nm Fluorochrome/Protein Ratio: 2.9 moles FITC per mole of Goat IgG Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. FITC conjugates are sensitive to light. |
