HES1 (Hairy Family Helix-loop-helix Transcription Factor) |
|
|
Description: HES1 is a transcriptional repressor of genes that require a bHLH protein for their transcription. It may act as a negative regulator of myogenesis by inhibiting the functions of MYOD1 and ASH1. HES1 is expressed in developing neuroectodermal and endodermal endocrine tissues, and HES1 deficient embryos show severe defects in neuronal development, as well as pancreatic hypoplasia. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunohistochemistry and Immunofluorescence. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Western Blot (ECL): 1:200-1:1000 Immunohistochemistry (Frozen sections): 1:200-1:1000 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Positive Control: Human neural stem cells, Raji cell lysate Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. |
