HIV-1 p24, Strain IIIB (Human Immunodeficiency Virus-1) |
|
|
Description: HIV-1 performs highly complex orchestrated tasks during the assembly, budding, maturation and infection stages of the viral replication cycle. During viral assembly, the proteins form membrane associations and self-associations that ultimately result in budding of an immature virion from the infected cell. Gag precursors also function during viral assembly to selectively bind and package two plus strands of genomic RNA. Capsid protein p24 probably forms the conical core of the virus that encapsulates the genomic RNA-nucleocapsid complex. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot, Immunoprecipitation, Immunocytochemistry and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: ELISA: 10-100ng. Depends on the amount of immobilized antigen in the assays. Western Blot: 1-2ug Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. |
