Description: Motor neuron and pancreas homeobox 1 (mnx-1), previously known as Hb9, is a member of the mnx gene family, of which the mouse transcription factor Hb9 is a well-known member. Mouse Hb9 is necessary to the development of the pancreas, in initial morphogenesis and subsequent differentiation of beta cells. Zebrafish expression of mnx genes occurs in all three germ layers. Knockdown studies show that zebrafish mnx is necessary to the differentiation of beta cells but not the early morphogenesis of the pancreas. Mnx-1 is one of many genes involved in motor neuron regeneration in zebrafish. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: ELISA: 1:5000-1:20,000 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Control Peptide: H7023-15Y Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. |
