Recombinant mouse IFN-gamma is a single non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 134aa and having a molecular weight of 15.6kD. The sequence of the first five N-terminal amino acids was determined to be Met-His-Gly-Thr-Val.

Biological Activity:
Specific activity as determined by the cytopathic affect inhibition assay with mouse NIH 3T3 cells challenged with EMC virus was <0.1ng/ml, corresponding to a specific activity of 1x10e7Units/mg.

Storage and Stability:
Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20C. Reconstitute with sterile buffer or ddH2O, 0.1% HSA or BSA. Aliquot and store at -20C. Reconstituted product is stable for 6 months at -20C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
