Interleukin1 (IL1) is a proinflammatory cytokine secreted by many different cell types which acts upon a wide range of target cells, resulting in a diverse range of effects. The biological properties of IL1 include the induction of B cell proliferation, stimulation of T cell proliferation in conjunction with IL2 and the production of collagenase and prostaglandin by fibroblasts. IL1 is also responsible for triggering the acutephase response in the liver, and is involved in both cytokine network and vascular endothelium activation.

I7663-08W induces corticosterone secretion in vivo(1) and is the immunogen used to produce chicken IL1beta antibody I7663-08V,

Recombinant corresponding to chicken IL-1 beta, histagged, expressed in E.coli.

Molecular Weight:

Suitable for use in Functional Assays and Immunoassays. Other applications not tested.

Recommended Dilution:
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.

Storage and Stability:
Store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for at least 6 months at -20C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
