Description:
JAM-1 is a 32-41kD glycoprotein, which shares similarities with related proteins JAM-2 and JAM-3. JAM-1 is a multifunctional protein that is primarily expressed by platelets, endothelial and epithelial cells. The JAM-1 protein co-localizes with tight junction molecules in both epithelial and endothelial cells and plays an important role in the regulation of junctional integrity and permeability. In addition, JAM-1 is a ligand for the integrin LFA-1 and is also involved in the transmigration of leukocytes.

Applications:
Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry, Immunohistochemistry (frozen), and Immunoprecipitation. Other applications not tested.

Recommended Dilution:
Flow Cytometry: 1:100-1:200; 10ul labels 10e6 cells in 100ul
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.

Storage and Stability:
May be stored at 4C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, add sterile 40-50% glycerol, aliquot and store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
