Keratinocyte Growth Factor (KGF) is a potent mitogen for keratinocytes and epithelial cells. Human KGF is a 18.9kD protein containing 163 amino acid residues. Biological Activity: ED50 determined by the dose-dependent stimulation of thymidine uptake by KGF-responsive BaF3 cells is 10 ng/ml, corresponding to a specific activity of 1x10e7 units/mg. Responding Cells (partial list): Keratinocytes, epithelial cells Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Reconstitute to nominal volume by adding sterile PBS. Aliquot and store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 3 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Molecular Weight: 18.9kD |
Source: Recombinant Human expressed in E. coli Purity: 98% by SDS-PAGE and HPLC Endotoxin: 0.1ng/ug Form: Supplied as a lyophilized powder from 15mM sodium phosphate, pH 7.0, 0.25M sodium chloride. 11mg BSA. Reconstituted in PBS to a concentration of 0.5-1mg/ml. This solution can then be diluted into other aqueous solutions.
