Selective enrichment of Listeria monocytogenes from milk.


Directions per Liter: Dissolve 36.5g in 800-900ml of ddH2O. Heat with repeated stirring to dissolve completely. Adjust pH of the medium to the desired level. Add additional water to bring the solution to1L. Aliquot into sterile containers. Autoclave at 121°C for 15 minutes. Storage and Stability:

Store powdered media at RT. Opened bottles should be capped tightly and kept in a dark, low humidity environment. Prepared media should be kept at 4°C and used within a short period of time.

Appearance: Light beige, homogeneous, free flowing powder

Solubility: Gold to orange-amber with green opalescent top; may have slight precipitate.

pH: 7.3 ± 0.2
