Ly-6A/E (Ly6A/E, Lymphocyte Antigen 6A-2/6E-1, Ly-6A.2/Ly-6E.1, Ly6a, Ly6, Ly-6A.2, Ly-6E.1, Stem Cell Antigen 1, Sca1, SCA-1, T-cell-activating Protein, TAP) (PE)
Ly6A/E is a member of the lymphocyte activation protein-6 (Ly6) multigene family.
Ly6A/E is also known as stem cell antigen-1 (Sca-1). It is an 18kD mouse glycosyl phosphatidylinositol-anchored cell surface protein of the Ly6 gene family. It is expressed on multipotent hematopoietic stem cells in bone marrow of mice with both the Ly6.1 and Ly6.2 allotypes. As such, it is the most common marker used for enriching adult hematopoietic stem cells. It has varied functions, it plays a role in bone formation, myoblast proliferation and differentiation and the activation and immunosuppressive function of T cells.

Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry. Other applications not tested.

Recommended Dilution:
Flow Cytometry: 1:5-1:10; 10ul labels 10e6 cells in 100ul
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.

Storage and Stability:
May be stored at 4C before opening. DO NOT FREEZE! Stable at 4C as an undiluted liquid. Dilute only prior to immediate use. Stable for at least 12 months at 4C. Freezing R-Phycoerythrin (PE) conjugates will result in a substantial loss of activity. PE conjugates are sensitive to light.
