Human macrophage inflammatory protein-1ß (MIP-1ß) is an 7.6kD protein containing 69 amino acid residues. It plays an important role in the inflammatory response of blood monocytes and tissue macrophages. Source: E. coli Form: Lyophilized protein with no additives. Stability: The lyophilized protein, though stable at room temperature, is best stored desiccated below 0°C. Purity: Greater than 99% by SDS-PAGE and HPLC analysis. Endotoxin level is less than 0.1 ng perug of MIP-1ß. Reconstitution: The lyophilized MIP-1ß is soluble in water and most aqueous buffers. The lyophilized MIP-1ß can be reconstituted in water to a concentration of 0.1 mg/ml. This solution can be diluted into other buffered solutions or stored frozen for future use. Biological Activity: The maximal chemotactic activity of human MIP-1ß on human blood monocytes was achieved at 50 ng/ml. Molecular Weight: 7.6kD Responding Cells (partial list): Monocytes Concentration Range for most in vitro applications: 5.0-50 ng/ml Molecular Weight: 7.6kD |
