Viral MIP-2 has been shown to inhibit monocyte migration in MIP-1 alpha. Recombinant Viral MIP-2 is a 7.9kD protein consisting of 70 amino acid residues. Source: E.coli Form: The sterile filtered solution was lyophilized with no additives. Stability: The lyophilized protein is stable for a few weeks at room temperature, but best stored at -20°C. Reconstituted Viral MIP-2 should be stored in working aliquots at -20°C. Purity: 98% by SDS-PAGE and HPLC. Endotoxin: 0.1ng/ug (1EU/ug). Reconstitution: We recommend a quick spin followed by reconstitution in water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/ml. This solution can then be diluted into other aqueous buffers and stored at 4°C for 1 week or -20°C for future use. Biological Activity: Determined by the inhibitory effect on monocyte migration response to human MIP-1 alpha using a concentration range of 1.0µg–10.0ug/ml of viral MIP-2 will inhibit 25ng/ml of human MIP-1 alpha.
