Matrix Metalloproteinase MT1 (MT1 MMP, Membrane Type 1, MMP-14) |
|
|
Description: Matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs) are Zn 2+ and Ca 2+-dependent endopeptidases which function in the turnover of extracellular matrix components. Presently, eighteen secreted MMPs and five membrane-type MMPs (2–5) are known to be expressed in vertebrates. Human MT1-MMP consists of 559 amino acid residues with a calculated Mr of 63516. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunohistochemistry and ELISA. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Western Blot: 8-20ug/ml Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin): 20ug/ml. Requires periodate-lysine-paraformaldehyde for 18-24 hours at 4ºC. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. |
