Description:
MBD1-containing chromatin-associated factor (MCAF) is a 1270-residue mediator in the DNA methylation cycle of a variety of genomic functions. This nuclear protein will bind to the C-terminal transcriptional repression domain of MBD1 to form a blocking complex. This molecule will then prevent transcription from methylated promoters in a histone deacetylation-independent action.

Applications:
Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested.

Recommended Dilutions:
Western Blot: 1:5000-1:20,000
Immunohistochemistry: Frozen and paraffin sections
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.

Storage and Stability:
May be stored at 4C. For long-term storage, aliquot and store at 4C. Do not freeze. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
