Description: MCP-2 is a CC chemokine which is produced by several cell types including fibroblasts and peripheral blood mononuclear cells. This chemokine is important in eliciting the inflammatory response of blood monocytes. Source: Recombinant corresponding to 74aa from mouse MCP2 expressed in E. coli. Molecular Weight: ~8.5kD Endotoxin: ~0.1ng/ug Biological Activity: Determined by measuring dose-dependent chemotaxis with human peripheral blood monocytes. A concentration range of 10-100ng/ml produced significant chemotaxis. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months at -20°C. Reconstitute with ddH2O, 0.1-1% BSA. Aliquot and store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 6 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Molecular Weight: 8.5kD |
