Description: Muc-1 is a heavily O-glycosylated transmembrane protein expressed on most secretory epithelium, including mammary gland and some hematopoietic cells. It is expressed abundantly in lactating mammary glands and overexpressed abundantly in >90% breast carcinomas and metastases. Transgenic Muc-1 has been shown to associate with all four cebB receptors and localize with erbB1 (EGFR) in lactating glands. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunoprecipitation, Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Immunohistochemistry: 1:100 for 10min at RT Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Positive Control: MCF-7 cells, breast carcinoma Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. |
